British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said that the world must fight the Russian regime. In particular, it is necessary to organize a "hunt" for the ghost fleet that illegally transports Russian oil.

Cameron said this in an interview with Corriere della Sera. He noted that in this way the world should show Russian dictator Vladimir Putin that it fully supports Ukraine.

"We must also hunt the ghost fleet that illegally delivers Russian oil around the world. Every time they (tankers - Ed.) approach an Italian port, I want to be sure that they will be blocked," the Foreign Minister said.

He also stated the need to "hunt" for Russian money. "We will block the oil, we will ban the gas, we will stop the ships, we will do everything we can to stop the Russian war machine and show Putin the folly of his actions," Cameron added.

Earlir, it was reported that the European Union is proposing to impose sanctions on the Russian oil transportation giant Sovcomflot and 14 tankers associated with it to limit the financing of the war against Ukraine. These measures require the approval of all EU member states and could significantly affect Russian oil exports.

As reported, earlier, David Cameron said that the West should do more and hit the most sensitive areas of the Russian Federation with sanctions in response to the Russian shelling of Ukraine's energy system. They need to use the tools of economic pressure, he added.
