Air Defense Forces protect the capital from enemy attacks

Over the past twelve months, the terrorist country of the Russian Federation has launched more than 300 cruise missiles of various types in the direction of Kyiv. The enemy also used almost 400 Shaheds to attack the capital.

This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhiy Popko, the Kyiv City Military Administration press service reports. Air defense forces continue to defend Ukraine.

"We need more air defense equipment! The enemy has enough weapons to attack Ukrainian cities en masse," Popko emphasized.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration clarified that according to statistics, the terrorist country of the Russian Federation has launched in the direction of the capital in the last 12 months alone:

  • more than 300 cruise missiles of various types
  • 14 ballistic missiles;
  • almost 400 Shahed-type attack UAVs.

"That is why building up air defense systems is a priority for Kyiv and the rest of Ukraine. We will not give up any weapons. Because Ukrainian air defense soldiers have long ago proved to the world that they are capable of creating what seemed to be the impossible - effective air defense systems that combine the latest and old models, Soviet and NATO. Give us weapons, and we will find an effective use for them. Ukraine expects support from our allies and partners. Each anti-aircraft missile system, each Gepard or each Piorun means saved lives and a contribution to our victory!" Popko summarized.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, during another enemy attack on Ukraine on the evening of October 22, the public learned about Russia's use of new drones. These UAVs are as noisy as Iranian-designed Shahed 136, but the sound of their flight is different.
