Today, April 9, Hollywood star Kristen Stewart celebrates her birthday. The actress, who began her career as a child, has come a long way from her breakthrough role as Bella Swan in the vampire saga Twilight to her portrayal of Princess Diana in the biographical drama Spencer, for which she received an Oscar nomination. We've collected six of the birthday girl's most memorable roles.

Love Lies Bleeding

Starting from April 18, Ukrainian cinemas will be able to watch a new movie with Kristen Stewart. This is a crime action thriller from the famous A24 studio, responsible for the films Rebel States, Ironclaw, and All Always and All the Time.

Love Lies Bleeding is an electrifying, fast-paced story that stars Stewart as a reclusive gym worker. Her character meets an ambitious bodybuilder (Cathy M. O'Brien) who wants to go to Vegas to compete. But after a dangerous adventure, they both have to leave the city. "These two characters have a dynamic that I've never seen in a movie before," says Kristen Stewart.

Critics have noted the "wild and flashy" atmosphere of the film and predicted that this work will "exceed the expectations" of the audience.

Spencer, 2021

Kristen Stewart's transformation into Princess Diana impressed both critics and audiences. In the biographical drama by Pablo Larrain (Jackie), the actress portrayed Lady Dee during the royal family's Christmas vacation in the early 90s, when she decided to divorce Prince Charles. Stewart was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for this role.

Clouds of Sils Maria, 2014

In the Olivier Assayas drama, Stewart played the role of personal assistant to the star actress played by Juliette Binoche (The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Chocolate). Their complex and multifaceted relationship is one of the highlights of the movie. For her performance, Kristen received the French César Award for Best Supporting Actress, becoming the first American woman to win this award.

Personal Shopper, 2016

Another outstanding collaboration between Kristen Stewart and Olivier Assayas. A mystical thriller in which the actress portrays a girl who works as a personal shopper for celebrities in Paris and at the same time tries to establish a connection with her deceased twin brother. The sophisticated and eerie film won Assayas the Best Director award at the Cannes Film Festival.

Cafe Society, 2017

In the comedy-drama by Oscar-winning maestro Woody Allen (Manhattan, Annie Hall), Kristen Stewart appeared as a sincere and unpretentious girl named Vonnie. It is she who becomes the love of the protagonist, a young man named Bobby, who moves to Hollywood in the 1930s, under the wing of his uncle, who is well-known in the film industry.

Twilight, 2008-2012

The role that made Kristen Stewart a superstar. Bella Swan, a girl in love with the vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), has become a cult image for an entire generation. Despite the franchise's criticism, the chemistry between Stewart and Pattinson and the immense popularity of Twilight has propelled the young actress into the orbit of global fame.

Of course, this is only a small part of Kristen Stewart's work, who has a special talent for choosing unusual and challenging honest roles. We're looking forward to seeing more of her work, especially after she announced that she wants to try her hand at directing. Happy birthday, Kristen!
