Former three-weight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) narrowly defeated Australian George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs). The weigh-in ceremony took place in Perth the day before the fight.

The 30-year-old Sydney native weighed in at 60.89 kg.

The fight for the vacant IBF lightweight world title (up to 135 lbs/61.235 kg) will take place on May 12 in Australia.
