"I realized that Usyk was the favorite": Russian champion made a confession after Fury-Ngannou fight
World light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs) has named Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) as the favorite for his fight against Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). The Russian boxer noted that the British fighter's fight against Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs) on October 28 showed that the Gypsy King is inferior to the Ukrainian in many aspects.
Bivol said this in a commentary to the propaganda TV channel Match TV. He noted that he was shocked by the way Fury behaved in the ring during the fight with Ngannou, especially when Tyson was knocked down in the third round and was on the verge of his first career defeat.
"Ngannou was cool, disciplined. As good as Ngannou was, Fury was so bad... He threw few punches. I don't know what it was about. Perhaps he was downtime, perhaps he underestimated his opponent... If Fury is in the same form against Oleksandr Usyk, you know what will happen. And I realized that Usyk is the favorite. He throws more punches, hits the body, and has the best endurance. These are my thoughts after this evening," Bivol said.
We would like to remind you that Tyson Fury defeated Francis Ngannou by a split decision. Immediately after the fight between the British and French Cameroonian, Usyk climbed into the ring and had a duel of the eyes with Tyson.
Frank Warren, the British promoter, categorically stated that the fight between the British and Ukrainian for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion will not take place this year. In response, Oleksandr made a tough demand to Tyson's team.
A video of the reaction of fans in Riyadh to the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo and Usyk was also published. The Ukrainian himself commented on Fury's victory over Ngannou. In addition, a video of Oleksandr's reaction to Tyson's knockdown in the third round of the fight was posted online.
As OBOZ.UA reported, Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury unexpectedly clashed in Riyadh. Our boxer lifted the Briton and then commented on it with a Ukrainian proverb. And promoter Eddie Hearn called for forgetting about the fight between them.
