"I hit every time": Fury complains he was 'deceived' before the fight with Usyk

Fury talks about the fight with Usyk in May

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) has once again expressed his disappointment with the strength of Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs). Evaluating his defeat in late spring, the Gypsy King, as the British boxer is called, noted that the Ukrainian opponent was easier than expected.

Fury said this on the air of TNT Sports, the Boxing Scene portal reports. The Manchester native added that all the talk that it would be incredibly difficult for him to hit Usyk because of the Ukrainian's excellent footwork and movements turned out to be empty words.

"To be honest, it was easier than I thought it would be. I was listening to Tony Bellew and Anthony Joshua, and they said that this guy is so hard to hit, he's the Matrix. So I thought he must be very difficult to hit. I expected to miss a lot of shots. But realistically speaking, he was a lot easier to hit than I expected, and that made me feel a little bit better because every time I threw an uppercut to the body or head or did a wrong punch, I hit him," Fury said.

On October 23, the boxers had their first duel of looks before the rematch on December 21. The Ukrainian appeared there in an unusual way, changing his image. In addition, he forced his opponent to take an unusual step to help the Armed Forces.

In the first fight, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision 114:113, 113:114, 115:112 and became the absolute world heavyweight champion.

Our compatriot also shared his expectations for the second fight with Fury and responded to accusations of cheating during the May 18 fight. In addition, Oleksandr told what he learned from this fight.

The legendary Wladimir Klitschko shared his expectations from the rematch between Usyk and Fury. And ex-champion Amir Khan disagreed with the forecasts for the fighters' second fight.

In turn, Russian boxing coach Andrei Ivichuk called Tyson the winner of the upcoming rematch with Oleksandr. And the Ukrainian named the only boxer he is interested in fighting after the second fight with the Briton.

In addition, the British Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) answered the question of who he would like to see win the rematch between Usyk and Fury. The Briton himself named his motivation for the second fight against our compatriot. He also told when he would start preparing for the fight.

Fury also responded to Usyk's team representatives when they compared him to dictator Vladimir Putin. And the Briton Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) wished the Ukrainian defeat.
