Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy: "The war is not over yet, we need to continue to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces"
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy and FC Rukh joined the organization of a charity tournament to raise funds for the purchase of drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The football tournament raised over UAH 300 thousand.
A charity football tournament dedicated to border guards was held at the Bohdan Markevych Stadium in Vynnyky. The event was organized by the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and the Movement for the Future Charitable Foundation responded to this initiative to raise funds for the military who defend Ukraine’s borders. In addition, the tournament provided an opportunity for border guards to participate in competitions and have fun.
In total, 9 teams from different border guard detachments of the SBGS took part in the competition. The game was played in a 6×6 format, where each team had one football star. The tournament was hosted by the famous travel blogger Andrey Bednyakov. The event was attended by the head of the Lviv Regional Department Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Volyn Regional Department Yuriy Pohulyayko and the head of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service, Major General Viktor Babiuk.
The tournament also featured a demonstration performance by the canine group of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine’s training center, and visitors had the opportunity to see an exhibition of weapons and training drones.
But the most important goal of the tournament was to raise funds for the purchase of drones for the military. During the competition, a charity auction was held, where lots with the autographs of football stars were put up for sale, including Andriy Pyatov’s gloves.
In total, the tournament raised over 300 thousand hryvnias, but the ultimate goal is to reach half a million hryvnias. Everyone can join the Drones for the Border fundraiser by following the link.
The charity tournament was organized by Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, Rukh football club, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and the charitable organization Movement to the Future Foundation with the support of partners including Misto Komforta Construction Company, Halytska Svizhyna meat chain, and the Lviv Football Association.
Roman Pavlenko, Head of the Media Relations Sector of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of this tournament. Border guards are raising funds to purchase necessary equipment for Ukrainian defenders.
Hryhoriy Kozlovsky and FC Rukh have been helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the first days of Russian aggression. The Lviv businessman and philanthropist noted that the athletes have helped and will continue to help Ukrainian defenders fight the Russian occupiers.
"Now the United States and NATO countries should continue to transfer weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They will also need to provide our country with political and financial support for the long term," emphasized the founder of FC Rukh, Hryhoriy Kozlovsky.
Earlier, Hryhoriy Kozlovsky and FC Rukh, together with the Norwegian charity foundation Fritt Ukraina, helped the 45th separate artillery brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by purchasing 30 DJI Mavic 3 Cine drones.
