Tulips traditionally bloom from late March to early May, but many supermarkets have them now.

On average, tulips can stand in a vase for five to ten days if they are properly cared for. To prevent your flowers from fading ahead of time, you can use one unusual life hack, OBOZ.UA writes.

Tulips wilt when they are dehydrated or when there are bacteria in the water. They can also start to sink when they are approaching the end of their lives.

Simple coins can save the day. They can be used to make tulips last longer because they contain copper, which acts as a natural fungicide.

Copper kills any bacteria and fungi in the water that usually shorten the life of flowers.

So, if you want your tulips to last longer, put a coin or two in the vase of flowers. This will help them stay fresh and not fade for a long time.
