How to clean car tires at home: you need only one product

Clean tires regularly

Sometimes drivers underestimate the importance of cleaning their tires. Small pebbles and roadside debris tend to get into the wheels, not to mention dust, which, when accumulated inside, allows corrosive elements to affect the effectiveness of the brake pads.

Therefore, it is better not to neglect tire cleaning - this applies to both cars and motorcycles. The Sante Plus magazine has shared effective life hacks on how to clean tires at home.

Cleaning your tires will improve traction and enhance braking performance. It will also preserve the elasticity of the tires for more reliable, safe and comfortable driving.

As a rule, soapy water is enough to clean them, but you should also try a life hack with baking soda, Coca-Cola, and white vinegar.

The key to cleaning tires is attention to detail. Therefore, you can use a special brush by dissolving a small amount of baking soda in water. Soda is a versatile cleaner that can handle the heaviest dirt. Vinegar, due to its acidity, will clean the tires well. And Coca-Cola, according to experts, will help make them shinier. Vinegar and cola, even when diluted with water, will have a slightly sticky texture, so after cleaning, you should thoroughly wipe the tires with a microfiber cloth.

It's worth noting that not only timely cleaning can extend the life of your tires. To prevent tire wear, you need to maintain the correct pressure level. Too high or, conversely, too low pressure can cause damage and, ultimately, wear.

An overinflated tire becomes more vulnerable to debris and impacts, which can lead to accelerated tread wear in the center of the tire. And reduced pressure leads to premature wear.
