In recent years, the Czech automotive brand Skoda has gained a reputation for producing reliable cars for a fairly reasonable price. And this encourages not only buyers to look more closely at its models, but also engineers to invest more effort in the development of the model range.

In the near future, Skoda plans to launch several significant updates and completely new cars on the market. The British edition of Autoexpress told us more about them.

Skoda Elroq

The Skoda Enyaq family SUV is one of the best in this segment, with both gasoline and electric engines. Soon this model will be continued in the form of the all-electric Elroq SUV. This is the first model to use the new Skoda Modern Solid design language. The new model will compete with Kia EV3 and Hyundai Kona Electric. However, the Elroq will have a higher starting price and offer a 420 km range.

Skoda Epiq

It will be a more compact electric car and will most likely appear in showrooms in 2025. The concept was unveiled earlier this year, but immediately had a design close to the production version. Skoda CEO Klaus Zellmer described the Epiq as "a spacious cabin in a compact interior, all at an attractive price."

Skoda's all-electric station wagon

The fact that Skoda knows how to make a great station wagon is proven by the Octavia and Superb. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before the Czech brand would launch an all-electric car in this class. As of today, it is known that the model will be about 4.7 meters long - about the same as the Octavia Estate, but thanks to VW's MEB EV platform, it will have more interior space. But the model has neither a name nor a release date yet.

Skoda's entry-level electric car

If the Elroq and Epiq's price tags are a bit intimidating, then keep in mind that Skoda is currently working on a low-cost electric vehicle that could hit the roads as early as 2026. It is expected to be produced in India to keep costs down, and it will likely use a shortened version of the MEB Entry platform on which the Epiq, as well as the upcoming VW ID.2 and Cupra Raval, will be based. This model also has no name yet.

Skoda Kodiaq vRS

Of course, the Czechs will continue to produce cars with traditional internal combustion engines. The new hot version of the Kodiaq will be equipped with the same 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine as the Golf GTI. Its power will be 261 hp and torque 400 Nm. The new model will accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. At the same time, the Kodiaq will still remain a family wagon, as it will be available only with seven seats.

Skoda Vision 7S

And at the top of Skoda's lineup is a large seven-seater SUV based on the Vision 7S 2022 concept. It was used to present the new Modern Solid design language. The model was distinguished by a unique 6+1 seat layout, but journalists assume that the production version will have a traditional three-row layout.
