Fans will be able to attend basketball games again

Ukrainian basketball fans will once again be able to watch the Favbet Super League games in the arenas. Two years after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of our country, fans will have the first such opportunity on January 12-14 during the bubble in Lutsk.

This is stated on the official website of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine (FBU). The organizers of the competition can now count on the personal presence of fans in the stands of the arenas. At the same time, all security measures must be provided not only for participants but also for spectators.

"Thanks to the amendments to Order No. 1587 of 28.05.2022 "On Some Issues of Holding All-Ukrainian Sports Events under Martial Law", spectators will be allowed to enter the stands of sports competitions subject to the relevant security protocol. At the same time, each stadium must go through the procedure for admission to matches with spectators. The main criterion is the presence of a bomb shelter within 500 meters of the venue. The number of fans will also be regulated individually for each hall," the FBU noted.

Fans of the national team of Ukraine

Earlier, the organizers of the Volleyball Super League announced the return of fans to the stands. It is worth noting that the FBU was one of the main initiators of the revision of the rule on holding sports competitions in wartime without spectators. On November 13, FBU President Mykhailo Brodskyi sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal to return spectators to the stands.
