"Eyes that have seen hell": the network was impressed by photos of Ukrainian soldiers who returned from Russian captivity
As a result of the exchanges on September 13-14, 152 Ukrainian soldiers returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity. The health of most of the released Ukrainians is very serious, they are terribly exhausted, and many of them have lost 20, 30, and even 40 kilograms of weight. Their appearance speaks volumes about the horrors that Ukrainian defenders went through in Russian prisons.
Photographers Kostyantyn and Vlada Liberov published photos of Ukrainian soldiers who returned from Russian captivity just a few days ago. The artists emphasized that the photos show only those who agreed to be photographed and gave their consent to the publication of the photos.
The soldiers released from Russian captivity showed their photos taken before they fell into the hands of Russian inhumans. They are simply unrecognizable.
The photo is proof that the Russians starved, mocked, and tortured Ukrainian prisoners of war.
The photographers appealed to the international community to force Russia to comply with the Geneva Convention, which is fully observed by the Ukrainian side.
"We are writing this in English because people in Ukraine already know that Russia is violating the Geneva Convention and holding our prisoners in inhumane conditions. These photos are evidence of this, and with this publication, we once again want to draw the attention of the Western audience and emphasize it: Russia is torturing, abusing, and starving those who were simply defending their homes," the Liberovs emphasized.
These photos are further proof that Russia is a fascist country. It does not allow international commissions to visit its prisoner-of-war camps to hide the terrible evidence of crimes committed against humanity.
"Today, only the sympathy and outrage of the whole world can help Ukraine speed up the return of all our defenders from Russian captivity. Please do not remain silent. Help us bring all our people home!" the Liberovs emphasized.
About 100 thousand users from around the world commented on the photo. They are amazed by the atrocities of the Russians, comparing their actions to those of the Nazis in concentration camps.
"So much torture has been experienced";
"A real Buchenwald";
"This is what the world should know and see, this is the so-called Russian humanity."
"It is very painful to look at these photos and it is unrealistic to imagine the hell these people went through."
"The eyes... just look at them - how much pain, suffering, fear they have seen and endured."
"The whole world should see this. Fascism is not in the past, the Russians are proof of this...";
"This is some kind of horror of the 21st century. Wars and abuse of prisoners. I wouldn't be surprised if there is something similar to Auschwitz in Russia, where they burn...", - followers from different parts of the world write.
