Cold-pressed oil is the healthiest

Black cumin seed oil, which is produced in Egypt, has unique properties. Although this product requires special storage conditions, it can be safely brought back from a trip.

Natalia Dubovyk, a nutritionist, spoke about this. She added that other cold-pressed oils available in Ukraine are also beneficial for the body.

"Black cumin seed oil is one of the best products for our body. It cleanses the body and reduces its odor. I won't say that it is a pill for all diseases. To see the change, you need to lead a healthy lifestyle. If you drink 100 grams of alcohol in the evening and black cumin seed oil in the morning, you are unlikely to see the effect," she said.

According to the nutritionist, oil should be bought where it is produced. In the case of black cumin seed oil, this is Egypt. However, it should be borne in mind that the shelf life of this product is limited. Moreover, it should be stored under certain conditions.

"Oil has an oxidizing ability. Not any oil can stand for a month, two, or three. Live cold-pressed, flavorful, freshly pressed oil can be stored for up to 25 days. It has to be stored in the refrigerator in glass, and the glass must be dark. You need to follow all the rules," she explained.

In this context, she recommended buying black seed cumin oil in Egypt in capsules. "If you decide to bring any oil from Egypt, it is better to bring it in capsules, which is sold in pharmacies. You can use it immediately."

At the same time, Dubovyk noted that some types of oils, which are particularly healthy, are available in Ukraine too. For example, the same cold-pressed ones.

"We have amazing oils in our country. These are milk thistle seed oil, pumpkin seed oil, walnut oil, flaxseed oil, and fragrant and tasty sunflower oil. Yes, cold-pressed oils are not cheap, but they are healthy," she summarized.
