The footballer tried to stall for time

The Polish goalkeeper of the English football club "Wycombe Wanderers" Maximilian Stryjek became a real antihero of the match in the First League of the country against Barnsley. The 27-year-old native of Warsaw conceded a goal in the final seconds due to his ridiculous mistake.

With the score at 0-0 in the 91st minute, Stryjek wanted to run out the clock. Barnsley striker Sam Cosgrove decided to hurry the goalkeeper by running in his direction. At the last moment, Stryzek managed to pick up the ball from the turf and take it in his hands, but was confronted by an onrushing opponent.

The goalkeeper went down trying to fake a foul, but at the last moment he let the round ball slip out of his hands. The Barnsley player did not lose his cool, sending the ball straight into the net.

This goal was the only and winning goal of the game. Stryjek received a yellow card for his excessive emotions toward the referee, and the moment was called the "foul of the year" online.
