Elon Musk's super-powerful Starship rocket, which exploded into pieces on Friday, January 17, during a test flight, looked like fireworks in the sky. However, this space show did not evoke joyful emotions.

When the debris fell, an airplane flew nearby and had an unpleasant encounter with the fire vortex. A video of the Starship debris flashing from the Iron Bird was posted on the X network.

The fall of the Starship wreckage looked beautiful from one of the planes, but it's still not what you want to see from the cockpit or through the passenger window, writes the Rings&Moons Telegram channel.

Due to the explosion of a super-powerful SpaceX rocket, several planes changed their trajectory to avoid meeting the falling parts of the Starship.

According to experts, you can look at the fall zone of the wreckage of Musk's improved rocket (its number is S33), as well as Starship S25, which was blown up by a flight termination system at about the same height in 2023.

The photo shows that these zones do not coincide – S33 deviated from its trajectory and its wreckage fell much closer to land. This is because the accident was not instantaneous. Before the explosion, several engines of the Starship shut down sequentially, which led to such a "skew."
