Elizabeth II could have died from bone marrow cancer she was hiding - royal biographer

Former Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, who passed away at the age of 97 on September 8, was likely to have been battling a serious illness, bone marrow cancer, in recent years. This was reported by the royal biographer and close friend of the late Prince Philip Giles Brandreth in his book Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait".

A quote from the biography was published by the Daily Mail. Her Majesty allegedly knew about her illness and secretly fought it, but gradually prepared for death.

"I have heard that the Queen had some form of myeloma - bone marrow cancer - which would explain her fatigue, weight loss and mobility problems that we were often told about for about the last year of her life," Brandreth wrote.

He added that the most common symptom of myeloma is bone pain, especially in the pelvis and lower back.

The article emphasizes that Buckingham Palace did not respond to the book. There was no official response to media inquiries on the topic either.

As a reminder, at the end of September, the citizens of the United Kingdom were informed of the official cause of Queen Elizabeth II's death. Read more about this in the article.

We would like to add that Elizabeth II was buried on September 19 in London. The funeral ceremony lasted all day. It was attended by members of the royal family, an honor guard, clergy, and invited guests. Preparations for the process began at 6:30 local time (8:30 Kyiv time). OBOZREVATEL was broadcasting the event online.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, a few weeks before her death, Elizabeth II became friends with the famous American actor Tom Cruise. The ruler respected the star and even allowed him to fly to Windsor Palace for lunch by helicopter.
