The worst electric cars

In the modern world, environmental issues are incredibly important, and car manufacturers are well aware of this. Electric cars are a good alternative to gasoline cars, but statistics show that vehicles with reduced emissions are still inferior in quality and reliability.

Experts have released a Consumer Reports report on the reliability of electric cars. Among the worst are the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid, Audi Q5, and Tesla Model 3.

The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid is a hybrid version of the Chrysler branded minibus. This model scored only 14 reliability points out of 100 possible. The allegedly technologically advanced van has repeatedly let drivers down on the roads.

Owners have reported a number of problems, ranging from sounds atypical of the car, indicating mechanical problems, to even transmission failure.

The Audi Q5 is a luxurious hybrid SUV at first glance, but it has also shown itself to be a bit of a mess. This electric vehicle doesn't have a rating as low as the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid, but its reliability was also rated well below average.

Owners complained about problems with the engine, electrical systems, and comfort features that are supposed to improve the overall driving experience. The tech SUV malfunctioned too often, which is why it was among the three most unreliable.

Tesla Model 3 was also among the vehicles that are not worth spending money on. Despite the fact that the company's powertrains mostly performed well, other Tesla technology components failed.

The Model 3's paint defects, loose trim, and faulty interfaces have disappointed electric car enthusiasts.
