Britain reports "shocking changes" in Usyk's career

The unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk intends to continue playing on the football field after his retirement. The 38-year-old boxer reminded of his contract with Polissia Zhytomyr and also threatened the players of Dynamo Kyiv with a goal.

Usyk said this in an interview with The Ring magazine, which the British portal talkSPORT called "shocking changes in the career" of our compatriot. The boxer recalled that he had already participated in the training matches of Polissia, which went into the winter break in the Premier League in fifth place.

"What will happen after I'm done with boxing? I will play football. I have a professional contract with Polissia. This is the Premier League. Do you know Shakhtar Donetsk? Well, Polissia won against them. I've been a fan of Dynamo Kyiv for a long time. It's a club with a great history, but Polissia gave me an opportunity and I signed a contract. And in the future I will score a goal against Dynamo," Usyk shared his plans.

Earlier, Oleksandr decided on his next opponent in the professional ring and the weight category where he will fight. At the same time, he received a sensational offer to hold a championship fight in Ukraine in a new division.

In addition, the British Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) threatened the Ukrainian with revenge and called for a rematch, despite the fact that he still has to fight Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs).

It will be recalled that Oleksandr defeated Daniel by technical knockout in the ninth round in August 2023, and the Briton scored a dirty punch below the belt. The head of the Saudi General Authority for Entertainment, Turki Al Al-Sheikh, announced his intention to organize a rematch between the British and Ukrainian.
