Bookmakers unexpectedly changed their quotes a week before the Lomachenko-Kambosos fight
Former world champion in three weight categories Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) is still a clear favorite to fight Australian George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs), but the odds have changed a week before their fight. William Hill lowered the odds for the Ukrainian's victory and raised them for the Sydney native's success.
The fight, which will involve the International Boxing Federation (IBF) lightweight belt, will take place on May 12 in Perth, Australia. OBOZ.UA will broadcast the fight between Lomachenko and Cambosos online. The approximate start is at 6:00 Kyiv time.
Bets on Lomachenko's victory are accepted at odds of 1.15 (previously 1.17). The success of the ring owner is estimated at 5.50 (5.00). And the indicator for a draw, which is rare in boxing, has not changed (17.00).
We would like to remind you that on May 21, 2023, Lomachenko lost to Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) by unanimous decision, provoking a lot of controversy among fans and experts. Afterward, the famous American trainer and former world featherweight champion Robert Garcia called on the Ukrainian to end his career.
It should be noted that Lomachenko and Cambosos were supposed to fight in the summer of 2022, but the Ukrainian refused because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, the Australian recently got into a scandal by inviting a boxer from Russia who supports the war to his camp to prepare for the fight.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, Vasyl Lomachenko was excluded from several world rankings after it became known about his fight with George Kambosos.
