A stone with a "human face" was found on Mars. Photo

A NASA rover has found a strange rock on the Red Planet. If you take a closer look at the photo taken by Perseverance, you can see a block with a "human face".

Among the Martian landscape, the stone stands out, its shape resembling a slightly crushed head lying on its side, with clear features such as eyes, nose and mouth. This chimera was photographed by the Perseverance rover at Jezero Crater, a 45-kilometer-wide area on Mars that may have once been flooded with water, DailyMail reports.

The researchers joke that the found stone has a tired, lifeless expression, and in combination with its horizontal position, it looks like this Martian face has just been defeated by some alien creatures.

According to NASA, Perseverance took this photo using the Right Mastcam-Z, which consists of a pair of cameras positioned high on the rover's mast. This camera produces 2-megapixel quality, which allows you to see the rover's findings in detail.

Perseverance, which has been operating on the Red Planet since 2021, is looking for ancient rocks that could provide insight into the early history of Mars.
