"A lot of people talk, but..." Fury compares Usyk and Ngannou

Fury praises Usyk and Ngannou

The owner of the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt, Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs), considers Francis Ngannou to be a more difficult opponent than Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs). The Gypsy King, as the Briton is known, will fight the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion on October 28, after which he will take on the Ukrainian.

In an interview with ESPN, Fury emphasized that Ngannou has a more powerful punch than our compatriot. The WBC heavyweight champion added that he disagreed with the enthusiasm of fans and experts about his confrontation with the Ukrainian boxer.

"A lot of people are talking about the fight with Usyk - they say it's fantastic, a fight for the title of absolute champion. But I believe that next Saturday I will have to deal with a much more dangerous person than Usyk. Because Francis is a bigger man, he is stronger, more powerful and has a knockout punch. Of course, if you let Usyk hit you, he can put a black eye on you. But Ngannou will just knock the brains out of you," Fury said.

As a reminder, on September 29, Alexander and Tyson signed a contract for the long-awaited fight of recent years. Usyk commented on the upcoming fight against Fury, calling his opponent an avatar and questioning one of the terms of the deal. In turn, Tyson himself disdained the Ukrainian and praised the ease of the fight.

In addition, Usyk's promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk named a condition under which the fight with Fury could be canceled. And the Ukrainian's ex-trainer Serhiy Vatamaniuk called for a serious attitude towards the Gypsy King.

Promoter Bob Arum named a prerequisite for the fight. He also added that his ward would receive a 9-figure sum for the fight with the Ukrainian.

The media found out that the fight will take place before the New Year or in January. Recently, the legendary Mike Tyson announced his forecast for the superfight of the year. The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has demanded that Usyk and Fury fight.

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) reacted to the organization of the fight between Alexander and Tyson by naming a contender for the winner's titles. And former world champion Andy Ruiz named the main problem of the British rival of the Ukrainian.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Oleksandr Usyk called Tyson Fury a "pot-bellied handsome man" and sent him his regards. The Ukrainian boxer also spoke about the imminent end of his career.
