In Las Vegas (America), a cloud in the shape of a "nuclear mushroom" scared the townspeople. The fact is that there is a nuclear weapons test site near the city, so witnesses of the unusual natural phenomenon were seriously concerned.

Dozens of photos of the cloud from different parts of the city were posted online. The town's Twitter account noted: "If you live in a city 65 miles from a nuclear test site, strangely shaped clouds can be stressful" (to see the photo, scroll to the bottom of the page).

A strange cloud resembling a mushroom appeared at sunset, so in some places it was illuminated by the bright rays of the sun, giving it an orange hue.

"It looked like a nuclear bomb was dropped," wrote one eyewitness.

The townspeople could observe the strange cloud from their cars, apartments, while walking, and even from an airplane. It was visible from tens of kilometers away.
