Garbage from Earth found on another planet

NASA's Perseverance rover has discovered an object resembling a candy wrapper while exploring the bottom of Ezero Crater. Apparently, it is of terrestrial origin.

This was reported by Space.com with reference to the words of NASA scientists. Thus, it turned out that the piece of shiny foil is nothing more than a part of the thermal insulation from the landing system of another rover.

An unusual object found on Mars

"The shiny piece of foil is part of a thermal blanket used to control the temperature. It is strange that this piece was found 2 km from the place where the rover's lander crashed. I wonder if this piece fell here from the very beginning or was it brought here by the wind?" the researchers said.

According to them, this find has been on Mars since 2021. At the same time, NASA added that there are many parts of Earth's equipment on the planet. A few months ago, the Ingenuity robotic unmanned helicopter took a picture of the broken protective hull of the Perseverance rover.
