The titled boxer gave a frank interview

WBO, WBC, and IBF light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev (19-0, 19 KOs) has spoken about the possibility of holding a fight against WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs). According to the 38-year-old native of Khasavyurt, who hides under the Canadian flag, there is "too big a gap" between them in the divisions.

Beterbiev, who calls himself an ordinary boxer, is not sure he can move up two weight classes to fight super heavyweights. He knows that there have been such cases in history, but he doesn't remember the names of these heroes.

"If you ask me, we will never fight. But if you ask Usyk to fight me, it's possible. If he wants to fight, I will never say no. But if you ask me about it, then no. I'm just kidding. There are two weight classes between us. I'm not a good enough boxer to go up two divisions and beat someone or even have fights with them," Beterbiev said in an interview with the YouTube channel Fight Hub TV.

A few years ago, Artur Beterbiev admitted that he would like to meet Oleksandr Usyk in a professional ring.

In March 2023, Arthur insulted Usyk for his words about the aggressors. Then the Russian Canadian called Oleksandr "a boxer who misses a lot of things in his mind."
