Your favorite concealer will turn into a tinted moisturizer: a simple life hack

Concealer, as a decorative cosmetic product, can work wonders. Just a small amount of it can cover serious skin imperfections. However, it remains very dense and needs to be combined with care products. But is it possible to have two in one?

Makeup artists and beauty bloggers unanimously say yes. And it's quite easy to do. OBOZ.UA asked them for their advice on this matter.

You can add a moisturizing component to your concealer at home, turning it into a tinted care product. There are special cosmetics of this type, but they are expensive and you don't have to buy them. Just take your favorite concealer and moisturizer that works for you and combine their benefits.

Start by washing your hands well. They will serve as your palette, so hygiene should be top of mind. Apply the right amount of concealer to the palm or back of your hand. Then use a measuring spoon to measure out about the same amount of cream. Thoroughly mix the two products together with your finger to create a smooth consistency. The tinted moisturizer is ready and can be applied to the face.

Makeup artists advise doing it with your hands, blending the product with your fingers. This way you can gradually cover the entire skin of your face well.

If you are not satisfied with the pigmentation of the mixture or the density of the coverage it gives, experiment a little with the proportions. Using more concealer should help to create a more pronounced shade, while using less should help to create a more natural look.

This technique also works well with liquid foundation. As with concealer, mix a little liquid foundation with moisturizer and repeat the process.

Now for the hard part. If you prefer a light, natural look, you should apply the mixture made in this way after applying all serums and sunscreens. However, if you want to apply makeup over a tinted moisturizer, such as a cream blush or bronzer, it is better to apply the mixture beforehand, regardless of whether you use a primer or not. This will allow the product to be absorbed into the skin without unnecessarily mixing with other cosmetics on your face. When the product you have made is absorbed by the skin, you can safely use any decorative products you want.
