Deodorant is one of the easiest ways to mask sweat odor. However, applying too much product can lead to unsightly stains. When the aluminum salts in deodorant come into contact with sebum produced by the sebaceous glands, white or yellow stains remain on clothes.

Experts have described methods that are ideal for removing deodorant stains. However, they should not be used on fabrics such as satin, wool, and silk.

Method 1

Take a clean stocking and rub it over the relatively fresh stain. If you don't have nylon stockings on hand, use a cotton sock, towel, or foam rubber. This life hack is relevant for white stains on black clothes.

Method 2

Use a solution of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda to remove stubborn stains. Mix ½ cup each of water, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. Soak the garment in hot water and rub the mixture into the stain. Wait five minutes before putting the stained clothes in the washing machine.

Method 3

Mix 3 parts baking soda with 1 part water in a bowl. Then, take an old toothbrush (with soft bristles), dip it into the bowl, and rub it over the deodorant stains. Leave the baking soda on for at least an hour before washing the laundry in cold water.

Method 4

Take a few paracetamol tablets - four to five should be enough - break them into small pieces and grind them in a mortar. Add a little water to the powder to create a paste and apply it to the stain. Leave the laundry for 1-3 hours and then wash it. Remember that this method is not suitable for black clothes.

Method 5

Mix water with distilled white vinegar in a 1:1 ratio and immerse the stained clothes in a bowl for an hour. Then take a soft-bristled brush and lightly rub the deodorant stains to remove them.

Method 6

If you're looking for a natural way to get rid of yellow deodorant stains on your clothes, consider lemon juice. Mix equal parts juice and water in a small bowl and apply it liberally to the stains. Citric acid will remove yellow stains. Please note that this life hack is not suitable for dark clothes.

Method 7

If you don't have baking soda, you can use hydrogen peroxide to remove deodorant stains from light-colored clothes. Take a container and pour ½ cup of hydrogen peroxide and 2 cups of water into it. Now immerse the stained clothes for half an hour. The last step is to do a normal wash and double rinse.
