Without Henry Cavill: a new trailer for the movie "Superman" has been released
The legendary DC comic book character Superman is entering a new phase of his existence on the screen. From director Zack Snyder and actor Henry Cavill, he is moving to director James Gunn and performer David Corensworth. And we can already take a first look at what they have done.
Thus, a new teaser for Superman, which is due to be released in the summer, has appeared on DC's YouTube channel. The 30-second video doesn't reveal any plot details, but it shows what the Man of Steel universe will look like in the vision of Gunn and Corencev.
The action takes place to the sound of a reimagined John Williams' tune that Superman fans know so well. The video begins with the superhero regaining consciousness after falling on the snow. He whistles and calls his super dog Crypto to him. The teaser also features spectacular slow-motion footage of the character's exploits.
Another character in the teaser is Superman's opponent, the villain Lex Luthor. In the reboot, he is played by Nicholas Hoult. The video shows him arriving in the Arctic by helicopter. Fans assume that in the movie, he can search for Superman's Fortress of Solitude in its snows.
In addition, the teaser shows viewers a fire-breathing monster attacking the city of Metropolis. Toward the end of the video, the superhero's beloved Lois Lane appears, played by Rachel Brosnahan.
It is known that the hero will change a lot in the restart of Superman's story. From the dark and complex nature embodied by Henry Cavill, David Corensworth will move to a more family-friendly character that will symbolize hope for the best.
In addition to the above actors, the film will also feature Isabela Merced (Hawkeye Girl), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern), Eddie Gathegi (Mr. Terrific), Maria Gabriela de Faria (Engineer), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), and others. Superman will debut in the Ukrainian box office on July 10, 2025.
