Who will win the Oscars 2025? The first predictions of the winners have appeared, including a Russian
The approach of the new year marks the beginning of the Oscar season, which will take place on March 2, 2025. And although the full list of nominees will be revealed only in mid-January, film critics are already sharing their predictions of who they think deserves the coveted golden statuette.
Variety has published a list of possible categories and their winners, including such high-profile premieres as Dune: Part II, Wicked: The Conjuring, Gladiator II, and Anora, a film about the life of a stripper and Russian majors in the West. In particular, experts suggest that Russian actor Yuri Borisov will be nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
As you know, Borisov used to be not ashamed of acting in propaganda films in his homeland. One of the roles that brought him fame and recognition was the main character in the biopic Kalashnikov. At that time, the Russian did not lie: he said that he did not pay attention to whether the film he was playing in would be propaganda. Instead, it is more important for him that his character is "interesting."
However, the award in the nomination is predicted to go to a famous Hollywood actor, not a Russian. To find out the film critics' predictions for the Oscars 2025, scroll on.
