"Who will allow us to go with weapons?" Biathlete from the Russian national team puts a cross on the Olympics

Daniil Serokhvostov will not compete at the 2026 Olympics

Russian biathlete Daniil Serokhvostov has expressed confidence that he and his compatriots will not compete at the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan. The 24-year-old native of Barnaul emphasized that the athletes will simply not be allowed to leave the aggressor country.

Serokhvostov said this in an interview with the propaganda channel Russia Today. He recalled that he had failed at the 2022 Games in Beijing and hoped that he would be able to rehabilitate himself at the next Olympics, but this is now impossible.

"At the 2022 Olympics, I failed in two races. I tried to reason with myself about why it happened. I was looking for some reasons, running through the whole Olympics in my head, every detail. At first, I was going for medals, like everyone else. And then suddenly, you realize: it's over, you failed, and the next chance is in four years. As it turned out, we probably won't get another chance at all. And who will allow us to go abroad with weapons? I think Russian biathletes will definitely not be allowed anywhere," Serokhvostov said.

Earlier, former biathlete Alexander Tikhonov was upset that Russia failed to create a corruption scheme to influence the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and its president Thomas Bach.

In addition, the IOC has driven Russians into hysteria with its statement about the war in Israel. In particular, the Olympic biathlon champion Sergey Chepikov echoed Kremlin propaganda narratives about the fight against the "Anglo-Saxon world."

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov threatened "revenge" against the IOC because of its position on the aggressor country.
