The competition starts on January 24
The 31st European Biathlon Championships will commence in Slovakia on Wednesday, January 24. The competition will feature five disciplines: individual race, sprint, pursuit, single mixed relay, and mixed relay.
The Continental Championships will take place at the National Biathlon Center near the village of Osrblje, 14 kilometers southwest of Banská Bystrica. The biathlon tracks are situated at an altitude ranging from 595 to 680 meters. Admission to the stadium is free on the first day of the championship and 7 euros on the following days. Between the races, there will be concerts by music bands and comedians.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Ukraine won three medals at the last Euro. Anastasia Merkushina took gold in the sprint, and Yulia Dzhima and Anton Dudchenko won silver in individual races.
In total, our national team has 82 medals at the European Biathlon Championships, including 29 gold medals. This is the third best result among all teams.
