Gamers are in tense anticipation – the legendary long-awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 from the Ukrainian company GSC Game World is coming out on November 20. The game will be exclusive for PC and Xbox Series X and its junior version Xbox Series S, so PS5 players will have to wait a little longer. It is rumored that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be released on PlayStation in 2025.

If you really want to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, but this is not yet possible, you can choose other exciting games. PS4 and PS5 have a lot of impressive games with post-apocalyptic plots.

All three of the previous games, released for PC in 2007, 2008, and 2009 respectively, are now available for purchase through the PS Store. You can either choose STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy to get the trilogy in one bundle (price: $39.99) or purchase each game separately (price: $19.99 per bundle).

Chernobylite

Unlike standard survival games, Chernobylite has an almost cinematic plot. Igor, a scientist, is looking for his lost wife. The events take place years after the Chernobyl disaster, but Igor must return to the site of the tragedy in the hope of finding his beloved. Destroying the guards, searching for clues and some important plot points will lead the player to a truly unique experience.

The Long Dark

Hinterland Studio has managed to create a great game. The Long Dark challenges players to survive. You will have to look for supplies, monitor your health, and manage resources. The developers were very meticulous about the gameplay. For example, if the hero is walking in search of resources, but his bag is too heavy, he can twist his ankle. Dark nights cause anxiety, long sleep in cold cabins can lead to fever, and the list goes on and on. These small details make the game very specific and one of the most difficult to survive.

Wasteland 3

Wasteland 3 is not a simple "move, click, and shoot" game. Wasteland 3 brings a new element to the world of strategy, and keeps players on their toes with meaningful consequences, storylines that can change, and a multitude of characters to interact with.

Rage 2

Bethesda has tried to bring back the Rage franchise and has made a great effort. They managed not only to realize a powerful first-person shooter but also to create a rather unexpected world. Rage 2 has similarities to the world of Mad Max and Borderlands.

Metro Exodus

Players go to post-apocalyptic Russia, where giant wolf-like monsters and other hidden enemies are waiting for them. From the creation of new weapon modifications to a fascinating story that immerses you in a scary world, Metro Exodus is an interesting post-apocalyptic game to tickle your nerves.

Death Stranding

Hideo Kojima's first independent game, Death Stranding, caused a lot of hype. In the traditional Kojima style, the story is extremely complex and deep. As players embark on a challenging journey to help save the world, they will face militaristic enemies, giant monsters, and many dangers. However, the point of the game is not to kill anyone, as this will lead to a catastrophic explosion and end your playthrough. The loop of the gameplay will eventually start to captivate you, and the dynamic changes in the world will be quite interesting.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Dying Light 2 has been in the works for quite some time. The sequel builds on the original with even more parkour, intense zombies, and a story that will keep you engaged for hours. The beauty of this game is that you can play in single player mode or with a friend.

Days Gone

This is the most traditional open-world zombie game with a large number of characters, lots of terrifying zombie crowds, and a large map to explore. Days Gone had a mixed reaction when it was released, but if you're a fan of a zombie game with fun gameplay and a giant map, this is exactly what you've been looking for.

Fallout 4

Fallout 4 contains everything that players love about the franchise, from dynamic conversations with strangers to the epic journey that the player must embark on. This post-apocalyptic world is filled with many types of enemies – monsters, zombies, giant bugs, mutants, etc.
