What the first building of Kyiv Railway Station looked like in the 1890s. Archive photo
The first building of the Kyiv Central Railway Station was constructed in 1868-1870. Thanks to an unknown photographer, we can find out what it looked like in the 1890s.
The unique photos were published in one of the groups (spraga.info) on Facebook. Unfortunately, it was dismantled in 1913.

The photo shows the old station building, several trains, and passengers waiting for their transport to arrive.
Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi is an out-of-class passenger railway station of the Southwestern Railway, the main railway station of Kyiv. It is part of the Kyiv railway junction.
The Kyiv railway station was built in 1868-1870 to serve the Kyiv-Balta and Kyiv-Kursk railways, which were completed in 1870. The station was then located in the valley of the Lybid River, on the site of soldiers' houses.
