"What is he going to prove?" Usyk called to retire from boxing

Clarke gave advice to Usyk

British boxer Frazier Clarke (8-1-1, 6 KOs) expressed confidence that unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) should retire. According to the athlete, our compatriot has already proved everything to everyone by defeating the top representatives of the division.

Clarke said this in an interview with the Hawksbee & Jacobs program on talkSPORT. The Englishman emphasized that he does not see anyone who could really compete with Usyk. He also noted that the Ukrainian fairly won the rematch with Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs).

"I wouldn't mind seeing Usin hang his gloves on a nail. I don't know who else he's going to prove anything to. I'm not sure there's anyone who's going to get him out of bed at all right now. He beat Joshua, Fury, and Dubois. They are the best of the best. That's why I want Usyk to finish. As for the rematch with Fury, I think Usyk won the fight and did it convincingly. When he won rounds, he won them more convincingly than Tyson," Clarke said.

Recently, there was information about Usyk's unexpected heavyweight rival. The Ukrainian has already been challenged by Daniel DuBois, the holder of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight belt.

The Briton is looking forward to a rematch with our compatriot after his defeat in August 2023. Back then, Oleksandr defeated his opponent by technical knockout in the ninth round, and the Londoner scored with a dirty punch below the belt.

Earlier it became known that Usyk may give up one of the championship belts for the sake of returning to the ring of the legendary Wladimir Klitschko (64-5-0-1, 54 KOs).

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, manager Aegis Klimas told when Oleksandr Usyk plans to return to the ring. Artificial intelligence has already made a forecast for the Ukrainian's fight.
