If the Russian Federation falls, other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States will fall into this vortex, the illegally elected president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has warned. He advised the CIS to stick together because "recent events show that no one needs us."

The dictator made these remarks on August 8 to the members of the Council of CIS Interior Ministers. Lukashenko said that they could not do without unity.

"And if we don't realize this today, we will be dealt with separately. But if Russia falls, we will all be dragged into this whirlpool," he said.

The politician recalled Russia's "SMO" against Ukraine. He acknowledged that "many leaders and security officials – which should not be the case – have begun to look for some kind of benefit for themselves in this."

"You know, guys, based on my experience, I will say that life is so tumultuous now and very changeable. Many people are looking for benefits, including avoiding our general development trend, created in Soviet times. Some [think]: "Let's stay away from Russia, it's under sanctions. We are somehow afraid of falling under them and so on... We are looking for our own benefit. Don't do this," Lukashenko was worried.

He said that no one knows "what will happen to us, to our states tomorrow," and that someone may have to come to Russia and ask for help.

"And recent events show that no one needs us. Neither Russia, nor you and me, and so on. We need to stick together," a friend of Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin urged.
