One of the most popular desserts of the fall is Honey cake. This is an extremely tasty cake that everyone loves since early childhood. In the fall, you can add nuts and other ingredients to its composition, making the flavor of its preparation simply incredible and adding coziness to the home.

Blogger Irina Parfenova shared on Instagram how to make Honey cake so that the dessert acquires a new taste and is sure to please everyone. She decided to add candied fruit and various spices to it, which will turn the dish into a real autumn masterpiece.

Ingredients

  • Eggs - 2 pcs
  • Sugar - 100 gr
  • Honey - 100 gr
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Kefir or yogurt - 200 ml
  • Spice mix - 1 tsp.
  • Flour - 300-350 g
  • Soda - 1 tsp
  • Candied orange or zest - 1 tbsp
  • Nuts - 40-50 g
  • Frozen cherries - ½ cup
  • Starch - 1 tbsp.

Method of preparation

1. Beat eggs with sugar and salt with a mixer or whisk.

2. Add oil and honey. Mix well.

3. Add the flour, baking soda, and spice mixture.

4. Add the candied fruit and nuts.

5. Pour the dough into a greased mold, add the cherries and starch.

6. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 170-175 degrees.

7. When the honey cake rises, cover the top with parchment or foil, reduce the temperature to 160 degrees and bring the pastry to readiness for another 10-15 minutes.
