Two-time Olympic champion Olha Kharlan has announced that she has decided to continue her performance on the fencing platform. The 34-year-old representative of Mykolaiv will compete in an international tournament for the first time after the 2024 Games in Paris, France.

Olha wrote about this on her Instagram page. Our famous saber fencer, who is the most titled Ukrainian athlete in the history of the Olympics, said in an address to the fans that she would compete at the Grand Prix in Orleans.

"Don't be afraid to get back to what sets your heart on fire. See you at the Nuoma Grand Prix on December 5-7, 2024," Kharlan wrote.

The Ukrainian will be seeded third in the tournament. She will be joined by two more of our compatriots, Dariia Hontsova and Yelyzaveta Melnychuk.

Last season, Kharlan won silver in Orleans. This stage of the Grand Prix opened a phenomenal season for the Ukrainian, which culminated in her winning two medals at the Olympic Games in Paris.
