On January 24, a spectacular boxing match took place at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas: 24-year-old Harley Mederos (8-0, 7 KOs) won a spectacular victory over Mexican Arturo de Isla (5-3-1, 4 KOs), knocking him out. The blow was so powerful that the American's opponent almost flew out of the ring.

The lightweight fight was developing tensely, but a minute and a half before the end of the third round, Mederos landed a crushing right hand, followed by a left that knocked the wind out of de Isla. The Mexican fell under the ropes from the force of the blow, almost ending up outside the ring.
