The unbeaten Ukrainian heavyweight won a rare standing knockout in the 2nd round

Famous Ukrainian heavyweight Andriy Novytskyi (9-0, 8 KOs) has won another early victory in the professional ring. The 28-year-old native of Odesa defeated 38-year-old local boxer Bobby O'Bannon (10-7, 10 KOs) by knockout in the ring of the Memorial Hall Hotel in Melrose, Massachusetts, USA.

The 8-round fight against the American, who hasn't been in the ring since 2013, ended in the 2nd three minutes. After a powerful side kick, O'Bannon was knocked out by a so-called standing knockout.

Having missed a punch, the US boxer stood there for several seconds, not realizing what was happening, and then collapsed on the canvas. The referee immediately stopped the fight.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, earlier Novitskyi (7-0, 6 KOs) defeated 38-year-old Colombian representative Santander Silgado (32-17, 26 KOs) in the United States ahead of schedule.

On July 15 last year, Andriy Novitskyi won in great style at a boxing show in New Hampshire, USA.

Novitskyi made his professional debut in February this year, defeating Brazilian junior junior Gabriel Aguilar Costa (1-4, 0 KOs).
