"Ukrposhta" plans to deliver parcels to 98.8% of Ukrainian cities the very next day thanks to the introduction of robotic sorting lines. The new technologies will be launched in a month, and the tariffs for services will not increase until the end of the year.

This was stated by Ihor Smilianskyi, CEO of Ukrposhta, in an interview with Ukrainian Radio. One of the most anticipated innovations is the launch of automated sorting lines, which will radically change the approach to processing shipments.

With the opening of 23 new sorting centers, "Ukrposhta" will be able to deliver parcels to 98.8% of Ukrainian cities the very next day after they are sent. "This will make it possible to deliver parcels to 98.8% of Ukrainian cities the next day," Smelyansky said.

This innovation will be available in a month, and thanks to these changes, Ukrainians will be able to receive their orders quickly, which meets modern market requirements. At a time when most logistics operators are trying to keep delivery times within a few days, Ukrposhta is setting a new standard by focusing on maximum speed and automation.

Robotic sorting lines are a key element of the new system. They reduce the number of errors, speed up the processing of parcels, and make the entire system more flexible and reliable. Such automation will significantly reduce the time required to sort and prepare parcels for delivery, which will help achieve the "next day" speed.

The new sorting centers will be located in key regions of Ukraine, which will also ensure uniform and fast service to all regions. This is especially important for remote areas where delivery could previously take several days. Robotization and modernization of the infrastructure will allow Ukrposhta to become competitive even with private delivery companies.

Despite the significant expansion of services and the introduction of the latest technologies, Ukrposhta's tariffs will not increase. Ihor Smelianskyi assured that the company will not revise its tariffs until the end of 2024, even when other logistics operators have already raised the cost of their services. "We have decided that Ukrposhta will not revise its tariffs until December 31," the CEO said.

As part of the modernization, Ukrposhta also plans to launch a new mobile application that will make all postal services even more accessible and convenient for users. Over time, the application will offer all the basic services related to postal items, allowing you to track parcels, manage delivery, and issue shipments online.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the state postal operator Ukrposhta is switching to fully automated parcel sorting. This will allow to process five parcels per second and about 400 thousand per day at one terminal, as a result, with the upgrade of logistics, the post office will be able to deliver across Ukraine within a day.
