Ukrainian super heavyweight brutally knocked out his opponent in the second round, winning the title of world champion in Thai boxing. Video
Famous Ukrainian kickboxer Roman Kryklia has won a spectacular victory in the main fight of ONE Fight Night 17 in Thai boxing (Muay Thai). At the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok (Thailand), the 32-year-old native of Krasnohrad (Kharkiv region) knocked out WBC super-heavyweight champion Alex Roberts from Australia.
The fight ended in the second round when Kryklia caught his opponent on a counterattack. Roman was able to dodge Alex's sidekick and then hit his opponent with a well-aimed hook to the chin.
Roberts fell to the ring floor and the referee stopped the fight immediately.
This success allowed our compatriot to become a true king of two sports, combining the world titles in kickboxing and Muay Thai.
In November 2022, Roman Kryklia knocked out Iraj Azizpour (Iran) at the ONE 163 tournament of the One Championship promotion in Singapore, winning the championship belt.
2 years ago, Kryklia defended his world title in the light heavyweight division (up to 102 kg).
At the One Championship tournament in Singapore, our compatriot effectively dealt with the Romanian contender Andrei Stoica, winning by unanimous decision.
