Vietnam recently hosted the prestigious Miss Grand International 2023 beauty pageant, where Ukrainian contestant Yulia Klymenko made it to the top 20. The winner was Luciana Fuster from Peru.

The "Queen of Ukraine" managed to represent her homeland with dignity, once again reminding the world of the courage and struggle of the Ukrainian people. OBOZ.UA decided to show the Ukrainian's most striking appearances at the show, including a defile in a national costume and swimsuit (to see photos and videos, scroll to the bottom of the page).

Yulia Klymenko's dress with national motifs was simple but symbolic. The centerpiece of the floor-length white outfit was a red heart, and the contestant wore a wreath of the same rich color on her head.

"The heart of Ukraine. The dress that Yulia Klymenko is wearing on stage represents the soul of brave Ukrainians. It is not only a symbol of love but also a symbol of courage and faith. It is filled with joy and pain," the show described the outfit.

The show's multi-million audience was told that Ukrainians will fight for life and will not lose hope for a brighter future, which is what the white color represents, while the vertical embroidery represents the branches of the tree of life.

It is worth adding that the "apolitical" host did not mention Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and the contest was attended by a Russian woman and a participant from Belarus. They did not make it to the top 20.

During the show, the Ukrainian managed to show an exquisite evening gown and posed in a swimsuit. A total of 69 contestants competed for the Miss Grand International 2023 title.
