Ukrainian designer and fashion designer Andre Tan has compiled his own top favorite movies for those who are running or planning to start their own business. The list includes movies about famous people and their iconic brands that everyone knows.

The designer shared the selection on his Instagram page. The artist wrote that art in its various manifestations, including cinema, is what gives "the very impetus" and inspiration.

"I'm sharing movies that I think are worth watching for anyone who wants to have a business or already has one," Andre Tan said.

Big Eyes

The story is set in America in the 50s. A previously unknown artist named Walter Keane opens a new style to the world: pop art. The artist's atypical paintings, in which he draws children with big eyes, cause a sensation and rumors spread all over the world. Walter's paintings become the subject of mass production: they are printed on things, calendars, and postcards. However, at the peak of their popularity, unexpected details are revealed. Margaret, the artist's wife, claims that her husband is engaged in fraud and that she is actually the author of the works. "Who's lying in this story?" people around the world are asking, waiting to hear the truth.

"It's very easy to watch, makes you think about life and your attitude towards your loved ones. And most importantly, it teaches you how to build a business ," the designer comments.

The Founder

The movie tells the story of Raymond Kroc, the founder of the McDonald's fast food chain. Before founding the company, Kroc, who was 52 years old, worked as a real estate sales manager, tried his hand at music, and shortly before the key moment in his life, sold mixers. One day, everything changed: Raymond received a large order of cocktail mixers for a McDonald's restaurant. The main character liked the fast food concept, so he suggested that the owners expand to a global scale. For this, Raymond Kroc had to put everything on the line.

"It gives you an incredible boost of motivation," the fashion designer believes.

A 2023 movie about the legendary Nike company based on real events. The sportswear brand is striving to increase sales, so the company's employees, including Sonny Vaccaro, have to come up with an unusual idea. The man proposes to involve a basketball player in the promotion of a new model of sports shoes. Despite the skepticism of the management, Sonny does not abandon his plans. American basketball player Michael Jordan becomes the perfect choice. Later, as a result of their cooperation, the heroes manage to create a collaboration between a sports brand and an athlete that will launch a global sneaker industry with a multi-billion dollar turnover.
