The new low-cost Toyota Urban SUV crossover will be the company's cheapest electric vehicle. The model is sure to surprise buyers, as it will get another variant under a different brand.
The novelty will attract young buyers with its low price and bright design. Autocar has learned that the new Toyota is already being prepared for mass production. The crossover will be very similar to the Urban SUV concept and is expected to retain the main design elements.
The car is very close to production, which will start in 2025. The new Toyota Urban SUV (the name will most likely be different) is designed in the spirit of other Toyota electric cars and hybrids: "tense" edges on the body and boomerang-shaped headlights immediately attract attention.
The body length is 4300 mm, the width is 1820 mm, and the height is 1620 mm. The car is compact and is likely to become an electric alternative to the Toyota Yaris Cross.
The model will have another variant with a modified design - the Suzuki eVX crossover. The expected range of the budget electric cars is 400-500 km.
