A new low-cost Toyota Land Cruiser FJ SUV is being prepared for the premiere. We already know something about the long-awaited model. The car will have a bright retro-style design and a price of the RAV4 crossover.
The premiere will take place in late 2024 or early 2025. The new Toyota FJ SUV will be the most affordable model in the Land Cruiser lineup. Motor1 reports that an interesting powertrain may appear in the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ lineup.
We are talking about a hybrid version based on a diesel engine. This specification has already been announced for the Toyota Hilux pickup truck. It is based on a 2.8-liter engine. The output is 204 hp. However, this option will not be the only one.
Insiders report that the new vehicle will also receive a 2.7-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 166 hp. The appearance of an all-electric SUV is not ruled out, but there is no information on this yet.
The small Toyota Land Cruiser is expected to hit the market in 2025. The car will be the successor to the Toyota FJ Cruiser, which was discontinued about 10 years ago. The price of the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is about $ 30,000 for the basic version, which is comparable to the RAV4.
