Anna Mokhonko, the founder of the Your Nutritionist Center and a specialist in weight loss, told how to protect this important organ, according to Fakty. According to her, it is important to follow the three-course rule and a few other simple steps.

First of all, Mokhonko does not advise to starve all day so that you can have more food at the New Year's table. On the contrary, to avoid overeating, she advises not to skip breakfast, lunch, or dinner. However, you can reduce the amount of carbohydrates, which will help you not to overindulge in calories during the New Year's Eve.

And during the dinner itself, the nutritionist recommends choosing three dishes from the entire festive menu and eating only them. "You shouldn't try everything in a row," says Anna.

According to her, ideally, the first dish should be a salad of fresh vegetables dressed with vegetable oil, sour cream, yogurt or lemon juice, or fruit. Plant-based foods are easy to digest, rich in vitamins, various nutrients, and enzymes that will help digest the rest of the meal.

At the same time, Mokhonko urges not to forget about moderation in food consumption. If you eat too much, your stomach, which is a muscle, will stretch. A few such excessive meals, and you will have a voracious appetite due to the increase in stomach volume, which risks turning into excess weight.

  • Put everything you want to eat on your plate at once - this way you will see the total amount of food you have chosen, and your hosts will not be offended that you are sitting in front of an empty plate;
  • put down the utensils when you are engaged in a conversation;
  • take your time when eating, chew everything thoroughly;
  • don't be afraid to leave what you can't eat on the plate;
  • if possible, choose low-fat options - lean meat, poultry, seafood;
  • if this is not possible, remove visible fat and skin from the dish yourself.
