"They will be angrier": Rebrov comments on UEFA president's words about Euro 2024 disaster without Italy
The head coach of the Ukrainian national team Serhiy Rebrov calmly accepted the words of the President of the European Football Union (UEFA) Alexander Cheferin that Italy's failure to qualify for the 2024 continental championship would be a disaster. On the eve of the match against the Azzurri, the Blue and Yellows coach noted that his team must be fully focused on their game.
Rebrov said this at a pre-match press conference. The Blue and Yellows coach added that only the players will determine the outcome of the game on November 20. In addition, the legend of Dynamo Kyiv emphasized that the players of the Ukrainian national team must be mentally prepared to face the current European champions.
"I believe that people in Ukraine should react to this. We have to focus on our game. It is very important for the players to be mentally prepared. They need to forget about all the statements in the press and focus on the game. I believe that such statements will not affect our team in any way. They will only get angrier. They realize that only we can make the result of the match," said Rebrov.
We would like to remind you that only a victory over Italy will be enough for the Ukrainian national team to qualify for Euro 2024. At the same time, our team is already guaranteed participation in the qualifying playoffs. OBOZ.UA will broadcast the Ukraine vs Italy match online.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Serhii Rebrov answered questions about his conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on the eve of the match with Italy.
