They look luxurious: 6 "expensive" colors to wear in 2025

Soon the season will change and instead of winter cold, sunny, and increasingly warm spring will come. In terms of fashion, this will mean that we will change the palette of our wardrobe to softer, lighter, and more airy colors.

However, as noted by Who What Wear, some fashionable spring colors will look more luxurious than others. For the most part, these are shades that work well as basics but have more depth than the traditional minimalist palette. Here are six colors that will look expensive in spring and in 2025 in general.

Powder pink

It is this complex soft and muted shade of pink that has taken over the spring/summer 2025 fashion collections. Presented by such brands as Miu Miu, Khaite, Jil Sander, and Alaïa, it is not striking in its brightness, so it is well-suited as a base for creating looks. But try to avoid excessive pastels.

Light gray

When it comes to business attire, soft and light shades of gray are in the lead. This season, office suits will have a slightly relaxed look, a slightly oversized cut, and flowing silhouettes. Instead of dark charcoal or slate tones of gray this season, choose lighter shades, including those bordering on beige.

Plum

Burgundy was the main color trend last fall. In spring wardrobes, it will move in a slightly modified state. Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, and Victoria Beckham suggest paying attention to burgundy with a pronounced blue undertone, i.e. plum color. It is suggested to use it in blazers, leather jackets, and spring bombers, as well as in accessories and shoes.

Chocolate

Chocolate brown can be called a long-term trend. It didn't appear yesterday and is unlikely to disappear anytime soon. Rich chocolate brown shades were presented in the spring/summer 2025 collections and looked especially chic at Max Mara, where this color was the dominant theme. The Pantone color of 2025 is Mocha Mousse, which reflects how popular this complimentary and "sweet" color will be. Shades can vary from toffee to rich cocoa tones.

The color of butter

For those who love neutral tones but feel insecure about white, the butter color is sure to be a seasonal favorite. It's a great option that ranges from light creamy shades with a very subtle hint of yellow to deeper parmesan tones.

Golden green

In contrast to yellow-green, which looks bright, green with a golden tint can play the role of a basic color. At the same time, it looks absolutely luxurious. You can achieve the desired effect with a muted sheen of the fabric, or choose a complex matte shade.
