"They don't like Russia": Russian Olympic champion whines after the International Federation's statement

Oleksandr ChekanovNews

Olympic champion Yevgeny Redkin is outraged by the position of the International Biathlon Union (IBU), which is not considering the return of Russians to its tournaments. The winner of the 92 Games in Albertville blamed the organization's leadership for all the troubles of Russian representatives in sports.

Redkin said this in an interview with the VseProSport portal. The former biathlete repeated the Kremlin propaganda clichés about dislike for Russians in a typical Russian style, forgetting not only the war that the aggressor country unleashed against Ukraine, but also the constant manipulations with doping.

"The IBU's position does not change, because the leadership is made up of Russophobes - Norwegians, Swedes, Americans. They have long disliked Russia. We cannot expect their opinion to change in the near future. Unless the political situation changes. We may well miss the Olympics, unfortunately. I think that by June we will have a concrete answer whether we are going to the Games or not. Everything will depend on foreign policy negotiations," Redkin said.

Earlier, Olympic champion and ardent Z-patriot Alexander Tikhonov suddenly revealed the truth about Russians, who, according to him, are destroying themselves.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, in mid-January, Russian propaganda erupted with rudeness and insults against biathlon stars Terje Bjo, Johannes Bjo, and Sturla Legreid after they took pictures with the Ukrainian flag.
