"There is no certainty": Markevych names Ukraine's problem ahead of Euro 2024

Myron Markevych, the famous coach of Kharkiv's Metalist and Dnipro, has admitted that he does not understand what tactics the Ukrainian national team will use at the 2024 European Championship. The experienced specialist noted that the recent friendly matches of the Blue and Yellows with Germany (0:0) and Poland (1-3) did not provide any information.

Markevych said this in an interview with sport.ua. The 2015 UEFA Europa League finalist added that our team needs to improve its play in the attacking line, as the Ukrainians are likely to be the first team to play in the Euro matches against Romania and Slovakia.

"Another thing is that there is no certainty with the tactical formations, first of all, with the organization of offensive operations. Apparently, some specifics will appear after the last control match – against Moldova on June 11. Because playing from the defense may be relevant in the final match of the group round – against the Belgians, and in the first matches – against Romania and Slovakia – we need to win, and for this we need to have a clear plan," Markevych said.
