The company has already discontinued its cheapest sedan, the Volvo S60, but this is not to be the end of the famous model. In the near future, the car will be transformed into a completely different vehicle and given a new life.

Earlier, it was reported that a successor, the Volvo ES60, would appear by 2027. The name is not yet final, but it is known that the car will be electric.

Artist theottle tried to depict the future car in an attempt to reflect on its design. You can see the features of modern Volvo electric crossovers and Polestar models. Perhaps something similar awaits us.

Volvo is aware of the popularity of crossovers and the movement towards an electric future. That is why they decided to stop producing the Volvo S60. Another reason is low demand compared to its main competitors. Mercedes C-class and BMW 3 series are selling much better.

The Volvo S60 production line was stopped in the United States. Instead of the sedan, a large electric crossover Volvo EX90 will take its place on the production line there. This is a much more practical car with three rows of seats in the cabin.
